Yeah, it does. Under 41*F it stops any bacteria from forming, but before refridgerating it, you will have to let it cool down first, and you can't leave it out for too long to cool down, especially longer than a couple hours. I try not to leave food unattended at room temp for more than 3 hrs. Anywhere between 45-140*F is the danger zone. In between cooling the food down to storing, is the when bacteria can form fastest so, you have to cool it down pretty fast.
