One may perceive it as unity story, but one may also perceive it as true history. I have a mind to decipher as thus. Whatever the case, all will be revealed soon. Should you believe, it is up to you. I am just recounting my version right now. Preah Ko was made to fight with the Siamese Bull. That was how He lost one horn. It is seen til now in His samrit.
Here is the story from a combination of understandings from my parents' tale and from Lok Ta's tale. I honor my parents and I honor Lok Ta, who are both my parents and mine's God/Buddha. Take it or leave it. Just telling you my background. We perceive Him to be the next Buddha as well as the Khmer Hero. We are blessed to see the Boddhisattva who will be the next Buddha. We are also blessed to know who will redeem Khmer from its cursed fate. All will be revealed shortly. So, I'm not forcing anything on anybody. Just telling where I am coming from.
In ancient time, there was a Khmer Queen. Don't know her name, but she was pregnant for more than 9 months. The royal viceroy, etc., accused her of being cursed. They convinced the king to banish her to the woods to fend for herself. One day in the woods, she craved some mangos growing so high in the tree. She climbed to get it, but slipped and fell to the ground. She died with her womb opened. The first who came first was a black cow. He has magic. The second was his human brother, whom He called "Keo".
The Cow fed and nurtured His human brother with His magic. In addition, He helped the locals with His magic as well by providing foods, clothings, music, culture, etc. News got out that there is a Heavenly Being in the area. This news reached all the way to the Siamese Court. The Siamese King loved heritage and culture, specifically the Khmer's. He wanted the Cow captured at all cost. So, The Cow and His brother Keo were chased from one province after another. In each province, His own Khmer people were corrupted to accept briberies from the Siamese as there was significant gold promised with the capture of The Cow and His brother. Every time, The Cow managed to escape with His brother clinging to His tale in the air. After so long fleeing and finding ephemeral respite in one village before they were forced to flee again, The Cow gave up fleeing.
The Cow saw that His people were too greedy and ignorant. They easily believe into Siamese proganda that they are cursed and must be captured for rewards. Little did they think/ask why the Siamese wanted their capture in the first place. Little did they see the benefits that Preah Ko offered to Khmer and only Khmer. Blinded by the promised golds, they did the Siamese' bidding.
Before Preah Ko completely surrender to the Siamese's demands, He extracted a contract that after 500 years, He must return to His homeland. The Siamese agreed. So, Preah Ko produced all the Khmer kappi---arts, culture, musics, etc...for the Siamese to use and call them theirs. They only has a right to call those Khmer arts, culture, etc., theirs for 500 years. After which, they will be back to the rightful heir. Then Preah Ko and Preah Keo became samrit. The Siamese casted a seven level spell of binding on Preah Ko. They forgot Preah Keo. Thinking that Preah Keo was ordinary human kid with no magic, they did not worry about Preah Keo's escape. This is very fortunate for Khmer as it turned out.
So, the Siamese took Preah Ko and Preah Keo captive in their land. The King of Siam was joyous because to Him who believed in the Hora, as long as He has a Heavenly Being, Nek Mean Buon, in his country, his country will be prosperous. So, Siam become more powerful afterward. They are big, especially in the Southeast Asia. Everything you may heard of today, it all belongs to Thai or that Thai has the dominant name. Little is heard of about Khmer. For example, where Thai cinema was lagging in ancient times and Khmer cinema was powerful, now Khmer has to tune in to their cinema. They tune into Thai first before Khmer turn to other cultures. Khmer are in a state of decline so they perceive all the cultures that are not Khmer superior. Such is the curse of Khmer.
In around 1982, Preah Ko was seen back in Khmer territory. The Thai king was flabbergasted for how could the contract ended so soon?! In fact, the contract didn't end. Preah Ko sensed great pains were experienced by the Khmer refugees as they were oppressed by the Thais at every single moment. The time was very harsh. I was too young to know, but my parents could attest to this. They were in Thai refugee camp for a short period, but because they saw the harsh condition and the fact that they had small children to contend with, they did not risk the hardship until years later. They were in Phnom Penh at the time. They were able to vouch for the appearance of Preah Ko in Khmer soil.
What happened was a homeless lady was made to dream of treasures in the dump ground she slept on. She dug and dug and true enough she saw gold. In her delusional ecstacy, her news traveled fast for greedy people always have long ears. This news traveled all the way to the Viets as well, who came to the site waay before the Khmers ever did. They tried to loot the area, but found only snakes in the hole. Then the Khmer came and burn incense and offerings to ask for the treasure. Then, Preah Ko was revealed. News presses took pictures, but got only white sparks where Preah Ko's image should have been. Then they remember to burn incense and ask for permission before they were allowed to take pictures. Preah Ko was hailed back to the palace in a grand procession. There was great national pride at the time.
Preah Ko was allowed to be on exhibition and rows and rows of viewers were allowed to walk through only and not linger in their viewing of Preah Ko's samrit. Those who saw His picture reported to have seen Him caught in mid flight about to burst from the picture, not as samrit form as seen in real life. My parents could attest to this. When national pride was so great, proganda that Preah Ko is unreal and a sham started to surface again. They started to ban people from the exhibit and started to hid Preah Ko's samrit and told people to go home. There was no such thing. The objective was to reduce Khmer's mentality so that they are able to be more controlled. They worked! Afterall, Khmer are easily fooled.
The Thai king wondered why Preah Ko broke His contract. The Hora told the king that because of the oppression Khmer experienced under the Thai while in the Ref camp, Preah Ko must go back to Khmer land. For Preah Ko to return to captivity under Thai's land, Thai must promise to treat Khmer Refugees with more gentle hand. Return Khmer refugees back into more of Thai territory and not so at the border or Preah Ko would not go back. Of course, Thai had already beg for the French's financial assistance to build the refugee villages near the borders. They would look bad if they told the reason for returning all the building supplies was over some superstitions. These Thais believe in superstitions, but they are not fooled enough to allow foreigners to think they are inferior because they believe in superstitions. Unlike Khmer who are so easily fooled and malleable under more superior ideas, devalueing their own in the process. So, Thais never fulfilled its end of the bargain where the Hora predicted. So, 'til this day, as far as I know, Preah Ko is still in Khmer territory.
Here's more recent news to tie things abit. Preah Ko was/is Enn incarnate and Preah Keo was/was Maitreya Boddhisattva. The story goes that in Heaven, Preah Enn wanted Maitreya Buddha to-be to go back on Earth to lead man from darkness. Maitreya Buddha refused Preah Enn. He said, "Preah Enn, you have no idea what it's like on Earth. Have you been up in Heaven for so long that you forgotten how humans have changed, have lost faith, recently?" Preah Enn did not believe Maitreya Buddha to-be. Maitreya Buddha to-be challenged Preah Enn. He said "Preah Enn, if you don't believe me. Why don't you accompany me down on Earth and find out?"
So, that was how they were born. Preah Enn took a form of a cow. He got magic. While Maitreya Buddha took form of a human. He got no power. The problem with Khmer mentality is that instead of looking at a long pregnancy as something to behold, extraordinary, they view it as a curse. They believe too much on the negative first and shun the positive side. Extraordinary beings because they must take rebirth on Earth to test humans' faith, they often perform extraordinary feats, unnatural. Despite seeing magic in their eyes, Khmer still got blinded by greed and easily corrupted. They are cursed as a result of their blindness. The province, forgot what province it was that Preah Ko was captured, was the only Province in Khmer where it is most oppressed with poverty.
Preah Ko made a contract for 500 years for in 500 years' time after His capture, Khmer will have a new Hero, Nek Mean Buon, who would come to rescue Khmer from its cursed fate. Because in 500 years' time, the curse set on by Lok Ta Eiy Seiy who cursed the Samdech Klung will be lifted around that time. Preah Ko, despite being in Khmer land, is still being bound by the 7 level binding spell. But, to some recent event/accomplished deeds by Lok Ta, the 7 binding spell is lifted, I think to my knowledge thus far. This means only one thing. Khmer magic is more superior than Thai's now. This means the Khmer magic is not of the same caliber as the previous Khmer magic used by previous Kings. They are more superior and are wielded by a more superior being.
It was a good thing that the Thais did not look too much in binding Preah Keo for to them Preah Keo was merely a human boy. In my perception, this is Khmer's blessings. For without this, should they happened to bind even Preah Keo to keep it safe, Khmer would not be redeemed at all and all is lost, in my opinion. Preah Keo was none other than Maitreya Buddha to-be as Preah Po-ti-sat. He was accompanied by Deities the moment His samrit occured and was free from being captured/bound by any spells. The next existence of Maitreya Buddha to-be was in Preah Samdech Chun Nat. He was also another Khmer Hero. He valued Khmer culture and traditions. He was the only Scholar who could create new Khmer words from Pali words. Khmer are too much influenced by foreign values and He was active in instilling culture. He died around age 80 years old. Not sure the cause of death.
Anyway, at His death He was accompanied by Deities. The Deities escorted Him to the Gate Keeper who asked for a fare to cross. Samdech Chun Nat said He was a monk. He has no fare. The Gate Keeper replied, then what are all those carts of gold behind you? The Deities replied that those golds are Lok Ta Chun Nat's treasure of merits. Lok Ta Chun Nat replied to the Gate Keeper to take all for His pass. The Gate Keeper said a few coins would do and all the golds disappeared. Then, the Deity asked Lok Ta Chun Nat where whould He want to go visit? Lok Ta Chun Nat asked to visit hell.
In Hell, He was curious of the black stream running across His path. He was thirsty and wanted to drink from it. The Deity stopped Him. He told Lok Ta Chun Nat that that water was not meant for Him to drink for to drink from it, He would erase all His memory. Then, the Deity showed Him further into hell. He saw many creatures crying in pain and anguish from the torture they constantly received. The moment they died from a beheading, immediately they are reborn again only to receive the same injuries. There was so much sufferings. Often, He was being implored by the hell creatures for they recognize Him as Heavenly Being. They asked if He has heard anything from their living relatives, their children? Have they brought sustainance, food, clothings, etc..., for they are constantly cold, hungry, thirsty, etc...It was so bad that Lok Ta chanted a Sutra---"Sokator Hor-mi, Af-yo Hor-mi, Aviro Hor-mi", immediately He was brought back in Heaven. I'm not sure if I got the right chant, but it is something close to it. This is Maitreya Buddha's Sutra. Chant this stanza and one will find peace for Deities will protect you because you have invoked their protections by believing in them.
In Heaven, there was a congregation of all Deities. The King of Heaven or Sakka was looking for the heir to the throne. Who ever could sit on the throne without being burned gets to spread Dhamma down on Earth. All the Deities qualified have tried out. All dressed in their fine glory of Deities, completely with jewels and decorative ornaments as befitting Deities up in Heaven, all tried on the throne. All cried that they got burned. Sakka was very distressed for it is nearly time for a Heavenly Being to be born on Earth. If no one coming to claim the throne, it means doom for human kind. Just then, Lok Ta appeared from His trip from Hell.
Sakka wanted to rush, thinking that enough time has been wasted as one minute in Heaven is translated to one year on Earth. Lok Ta Chun Nat is no longer robed in saffron colored monk's robe. He is now dressed in white robe, His new religion's attire. He made His way to the throne with all the sneering and snickerings from the Deities who'd tried and failed. Lok Ta sat on the throne and meditated on it without any hint of burning or pain. Finally, it dawned on Sakka that Dhamma could only be spread by one who completely relinquish all desires, pure of mind, serene as the water, or Dhamma could not be kept at all. Lok Ta had relinquished all worldly ornaments and taken a simple robe of ascetics, it is only He who could spread Dhamma.
So, Sakka begged Lok Ta to take rebirth immediately for to delay any longer, the prophecy would not be met in time. All those incidences, from the moment Lok Ta Chun Nat "chol ti songkut" and shown hell realm to be tested in heaven realm, all those times, it took Earth seven years to pass. He was born at time of Pol Pot era. He was being tortured, but to no avail for He was being protected by Mother Angel who milked him when He was left to starve to death in a completely shuttered barrel. He was made to lift human skulls, which were quite heavy for a tiny boy to lift. He was told to tell His parents to "damm chur khoh" for silence. He saw how His father was so sick and suffered so much. In His pain and anguish, He could not do anything for His father other than to keep him clean and fed and comfortable. He wanted to feed His father. He asked Mother Angel if He could feed His father the food She had given Him. To which, Mother Angel said that He could not for such foods are only meant for Him and not His father. These are foods stem from merits/magic. His father could not eat such foods. So, He prayed by a pond to catch a fish so that He may feed His father and He did. His father passed away, but left His mother.
Throughout His childhood, He was visited by Deities, Sakka, who revealed themselves and asked Him to meditate, to remember His previous existence and to remember why He was born. He meditated and remembered. He was told to continue meditating and to constantly head toward the place where He would set up the temple right now. Until He'd reached an age of 26 years, He may revealed Himself. To do before hand would jeapardize the mission. So, at age 26 years old, He revealed Himself of who He is, what His mission is, should anyone follow is up to them.
Of course, this did not come without rivalries. He built a temple out of woods. Protestors from all directions antagonized Him, accused Him of being a false prophet. They burned down the temple He built. He received more fundings by His loyal supporters who have faith in Him. This time He built them out of concrete or stones. See if any more would burn them down? The protestors came back to beg for forgiveness and He remained standing to this day. To those with eyes and mind, if He is a false prophet, would He remained after all those protests and vandalisms? Even when there is no problems, those that used to support Him turned against Him? What did He do? Nothing. Karma played itself out.
A french lady who gave Him fundings to build. She requested a vila be built in her honor. A vila was built in her honor. She gave Him more money for other purpose. She went back to France and traveled further abroad to bad mouth that He was a fraud, who could not be trusted. Seven days later, she was hit by a car. Why seven days? We are talking about instantness here. It is said in Buddist texts that when one offers to the Buddha, the reward is instant. Take the story of Queen Mallika for example. She was offered the status of queen when she offered Buddha her food and not His deciples. Here, Lok Ta is the Arahat, Preah Po-ti-sat Toor Ong Preah Se-Ar Metrei. The effects are almost immediate. That is why I am saying that in a short time at all, all will be revealed. One should do is not be like the French lady, but commit merits and wish for goodness not bad mouthing others like the French lady.
There are more stories, but let it be known that if it is not the Buddha, He would not be standing firm in the face of obstacles. Those that oppose Him, in due time, will be deminished by their own karma. That is why He does not really care whether or not any believes Him. He is not forcing anybody to believe against their will. But, He did admonish that if you don't believe, just don't go insulting for He had seen many, many examples already where such insults do not bode well for the doers. We have seen it to be the case even with our current Buddha, where once upon eons when He was a Boddhisattva, at a time when there was no Supreme Buddha, He once insulted a Pacceka Buddha (Silent Buddha) in His greed to become a Buddha Himself. He was punished, inescapable by karma.
At present, He is leading humans, Khmer and other ethnic groups who believe in Buddhism, to commit merits for the purpose of escaping the Third Field of Death aka WW3 and the Four Traps of Nature---Earth(Earthquake), Fire(Volcano), Air(Tornados, hurricanes), Water(Tsunami, floods, snow). Because in WW3, in addition to man killing man, Nature will kill man as well. We have seen such examples already. One may disclaim this to global warming. Whatever the case, one cannot dispute the facts that people have suffered more natural disasters in areas where such natural disasters have never even known before. Get used to it. If one calls is global warming. So be it.
Man will kill without apparent reasons. To the unintelligent mind, it appears as thus. But, to those who are aware of such phenomenon, they have better explanations for such explanations will help them avoid negative karma and cultivate good karma. Life is too short. Learn to learn from others' mistakes. It is said that Asuras, demons who could assume human forms to create chaos, will be released from hell to fulfill their roles in the prophecy. They will assume human minds with little Dhamma, and they will warped their minds to perform deeds that are unexplicable by the living. We have seen such examples already. The famous Canadian Wrestler killed his wife and child and then killed himself without any apparent reason. Cho went on a shooting spree killing 20 people or so before killing himself. The kid, forgot his name, went to the mall to kill a bunch of customers in his path before killing himself. There are more reports. Yet, I don't want to concentrate on it.
I want to concentrate on the fact that while all this is going on, it is even more of an incentive to push one to commit acts of goodness for only goodness will one be able to escape such catastrophy. In a time of killing, one may escape bullets from one's merits. When volcano erupts, floodings in the area, hurricane, tornado, etc., occur and when one happened to be in that area at the wrong time, then one may escape being swept by such catastrophy by one's merits. Otherwise, there is no luck.
Anyway, eventually Lok Ta will assume other roles vital for all humanity. When that time comes, bloodshed will be predominant. Think the situations in Iraq, Pakistan and related countries in the Middle East are the worst? We have not seen what is predicted, yet. I am just giving you a glimpse of what is said to happen. Imagine nuclear vapor enveloping the whole face of the earth. How could anyone escape such toxicity? This is instant death if there is such a case. When it got so bad, that is when a Hero must be summoned by China. I'm giving another abbreviation to shorten the story as it is getting late.
When it was absolute that a Hero is need to neutralize the situations, that is when Preah Batt Thormic showed up. His appearance would not be easy as much bloodshed and mistaken paths to reach where He would meditate. It would not be easy to save mankind for mankind are so stubborn and corrupted in nature. When the status quo is neutralized, few humans will remain. These humans are said to have accumulated tremendous merits to remain alive. Those that were accidently killed may be revived by a mist from heaven.
It is said that a seven-day sermon will be delivered in the Heart of the Land. This sermon will relate all the events from beginning to end. As far as I am concerned, I love listening to sermons. So, I plan to be there and therefore I strive hard to get there. It is said that the catastrophy will happen mostly likely in 2008, sometimes in 2008. It will take 3 or 4 years for it to end. So, I surmise year 2012 is the time when peace is met. Without knowing HeAtz_On's cause, I have agreed to some extent that His prediction of year 2012 in one of his post in the R&P forum has some merit.
Now, I have relate to most informations thus far. They are combinations of faith and reality. One must choose for oneself. I only have some info to pass along as they are my Truths. The time when the war end, it will be an auspicious time for Khmer for Khmer will be under a new name. It will be called Vunkotborei or similar name for it means Peace encompassing or all loving. Khmer will be a force to be reckoned with in the short future. It is because Khmer will be dominated by a capable leader who could put out the world's fire. Dhamma will radiate from Nokor Vunkotborei for there will be Five Buddhas at the center of the Nokor. They are in the building at this moment should anyone care to know about it. To think, in year 2000, there was just a small temple that was threatened by protestors and vandalizers. Now, there are numerous temples and shrines and several giant Buddhas to boot to meet any protestors and vandalizers. This is not to boast, but it is to show that can evil get away with their karma?
I could go on and on, but I got to stop my mind from think too much. One thing just leads to another and pretty soon I have to go to work without a wink of sleep. So, if you have any questions or if there is some issues brought up and I find them relatable, I will do so accordingly. My purpose is to share my opinion and opinion only.
