Love wounds you in a way that doesn't let you live or die. People say that love is joyous and happy. In contrary, it is longing and desperate.

Interest:I love current events and American politics. I'm addicted to the news...I just can't get enough. I listen to it on news radio on the way to work and back, I read it compulsively online just to compare my new learned information, and then I watch the evening news when I get home. Local news cracks me up. Whenever there's a little rain, there's a "Storm Watch 2006 headline." Then they show a footage of a storm drain flowing rapidly with water and a reporter ankle deep in it....or paddling in a canoe.

Aside from that, I love love love razor sharp wit. I love intelligence and have little patience and tolerance for ignorance and stupidity, unless I really love you or we are bounded through bloodline. I love stimulating conversations about culture, history, politics, theology, and fine arts. I can't get enough of that, I live for that.

Music:Alternative, Khmer classical, and ironically: Cambodian pop. I discovered it on a trip to Cambodia. I still can't get over the fact that I love it. I can't get enough of Cambodian pop. Then again, I can't get enough of Cambodia, so now I'm obsessed with Cambodian pop culture and Cambodia. I am now an avid karaoke customer at Mary's video and SSB video in Long Beach, California. Currently, I enjoy such hits as, "Body of a Mythological Half Bird Half Woman creature with a mind of a Giant" and "Mouse Loves Rice" in literal translation. I also tend to tap my feet to "I am an overworked Chef" by Preap Savat. I blame my graceful friend, Moly for this. Her unconditional and profound love of Cambodian Pop culture has led me to love it because I love her. Believe it or not, RUFA dancers and teachers have a very wild streak. They go clubbing and shoot pool. Who would have known that Apsaras can be so well versed in the ungraceful art of shooting pool? Believe it or not, it's true. I've seen it first hand and was really charmed by it.

Movies:Love that Kill Bill I and II. Uma Thurman rocks. I never really liked her until Kill Bill. I am now even a bigger fan of Quentin Tarantino. I have a new found love and appreciation for Condor Heroes. Geez, that new Yang Gor is sooooo handsome, and the new Dragon Girl has yet to prove herself to me as an actress because she is not beautiful to me. Everyone knows that the dragon girl has to be beautiful. Can't wait until 2006 comes out with subs. I also love Trey Parker and Matt Stone now, the creators of South Park because of their recent hilarious fight with Scientology and Tom Cruise. To show my support for those clever guys, I'm not going to watch "Mission Impossible III"(Not that I was going to watch it anyway, it's just now I have a heroic reason to not watch as oppose to skipping it simply because I hate those types of movies).

Television:I seldom watch television. I like commercials. I know it's weird, but I love watching commercials to see how creative and clever they are. You can imagine how much I love super bowl commercials. Other than commericals, I watch the History channel, The Learning channel, and National Geographics. I watch the food network because I enjoy cooking to an extent...and also because I'm fascinated with Iron Chef and the Bare Foot Contessa. Love those documentaries of indiginous tribes bungee jumping off a death defying platform that's 70 feet high to prove their manhood. Those whacky natives...

Books:I read Dickens and all the classic novels such as Pride and Predjudice, Wuthering Heights. I'm a sucker for classical love novels. Never enjoyed them when I was forced to read them in high school, but rediscovered them as an adult and they're awesome. I also enjoy the work of Amy Tan because her characters are so well developed and her writing style is very unique. Although she grossly misconstrues the treatment of women in Chinese culture as a westerner might interpret it, I still buy every single book she releases. I'm just a sucker for good witty literature. I don't enjoy poems anymore and I haven't read them in forever and good ones are hard to come by anymore. When I was much younger and my mind was a sponge, I read poetry non stop, including really badly written ones. Now, I'm very particular on what I read. I resent the fact every college student out there now has a copy of a the Da Vinci Code. I read it when it was first written and not a major motion picture yet. Now, it's just played out and the sudden interest in the novel just repels me.

My Hero:A rock named Steven because he saved my butt this morning.
