BEFORE YOU GO ON, SIGN MY GBOOK. I'LL RETURN THE FAVOR!

**Special Note: As this noble deployment is coming to an end, I would like to extend my sincere and profound gratitudes and appreciations to everyone who've prayed for me and my unit. A wise man once eloquently articulated that "War Changes People." War indeed changed everyone in my unit for the better. We've all grown, matured and gained knowledge and insight to the meaning and value of life. Life is a precious entity that most of us took for granted on occassions. In the word of Musashi "He who had faced death at the end of a Sword had an elevated understanding." Indeed all the brave men in my unit had faced death on countless occassions. Death was just 4 meters away from me on one fateful day. I was standing 4 meters a way from where a mortar round landed. Miraculously, I was not hurt or injured. My interpreter who was standing and talking with me had a minor shrapnel wound. Normally, a mortar had a kill radius from 45 to 50 meters. I was only 4 meters from where it landed. What do I attribute this miracle to? Well, it was not time for me to leave this earth yet. Perhaps God wanted me to do more good things for His "Children". So, this New Year, I will renew my old resolution; to always put a smile on someone's face every day, to live a philosophical life and to endlessly search for ways to help people. In the process, I hope to discover the WAY as well. Please keep in mind that soldeirs are the last to want a war! "Only the dead sees the end of war" Aristole.

WAYS OF THE WARRIOR: "THE BOOK OF FIVE RINGS" Musashi
• Do not think dishonestly.
• The Way is in training.
• Become acquainted with every art.
• Know the Ways of all professions.
• Distinguish between gain and loss in worldly matters.
• Develop intuitive judgment and understanding for everything.
• Perceive those things which cannot be seen.
• Pay attention even to trifles.
• Do nothing which is of no use.

What is the Way of the Warrior?" This is because they do not know in their hearts. From this we can see they do not follow the Way of the warrior. By the Way of the warrior is meant death. The Way of the warrior is death. This means choosing death whenever there is a choice between life and death. It means nothing more than this.

If you keep your spirit correct from morning to night, accustomed to the idea of death and resolved on death, and consider yourself as a dead body, thus becoming one with the Way of the warrior, you can pass through life with no possibility of failure and perform your office properly.

From one thing, know ten thousand things. When you attain the Way of strategy
there will not be one thing you cannot see.
"He who has faced death at the point of a sword has an elevated understanding"
"The sword is the soul of the samurai." MUSASHI

MONEY:
With money, you can buy a house but not a home
With money, you can buy a clock but not time
With money, you can buy a bed but not sleep
With money, you can buy a book but not knowledge
With money, you can buy a doctor but not good health
With money, you can buy position but not respect
With money, you can buy blood but not live
With money, you can buy sex, but not love
THEREFORE, give me all your money people!

SWEETNESS:
Sweet words are easy to say.
Sweet things are easy to buy .
But sweet people are difficult to find.

LIFE LITTLE SECRETS:
Life ends when you stop dreaming.
Hope ends when you stop believing.
Love ends when you stop caring.
Friendships ends when you stop sharing.

TRUE COURAGE AND TRUE WISDOM
To love without condition......
To talk without intention..........
To give without reason.........
And to care without expectation.
This is when true courage and wisdom arise.

ATTITUDE
The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will make or break a company…a church…..a home…..The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past.. we cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude…..I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you……we are in charge of our attitudes. Charles Swindoll

POEM:
Abyss Of The Sea:
Deep in the abyss of the sea
Lovers search for
Love of all eternity

Waves and ripples,
Rhythms and rhymes,
All loves endure
From time to time

True hearts resonate with
Meaningful deeds,
Endlessly search
For eternal love to keep

Palm Tree:
Palm trees resting in the resonate sun,
Lovers yearn in the dawn of fun.
The sun silently set in supple sea.
Time take total control of you and me.
We surrendered our hearts to the eternal flame.
Our love glows with true pure love,
Because our wild hearts are tamed
Palm trees seek one simple sunset in the sand,
My heart seeks to beat in your gentle loving hands

The Deep Divide:
"I want to dive
into the deep divide
of your star sparkling eyes.

Tonight is the night,
I'll hold your heavenly
body tight.

With you by my side,
I am elated and suffice.

Do not count the hour,
this enchanting moment
is our forever.

Eternal and everlasting,
Love, you make life
worth living.
