 NEW SINGER IS SO, SO
Most new singer just resing from the old song.
The best of the best by MAJORITY of khmer is

The 60s,70s, Sin Sisamouth and Ros Serey Sothea (king and queen of khmer poprock)
Others, Pen Ron, Mao Sareth, Him Yeng etc.

60s, 70s, So Savoeun (Queen of wedding music and still is).
They are the golden voice still enjoy by majority of khmer today.

The 80s, 90s would be Keo Sarath (King of khmer country music)
Sro noh dey khmer, hit song.
He is still the best till now

The 80s, 90s
Pen Rom (queen of khmer poprock)

The 20s, Song Veacha (best to Sin Sisamouth)
Preap Sovat (khmer moden poprock)

Meng Pichta and Touch Sunnich (modern pop)

Cheng Sorya (Queen of wedding music, compare to So Savoeun).

 Get Close Singers
Keo Sarat, I record his master #3, and #4 on tape. He is like my best friend. He die after 3 months later.

Choum Bunyong, my good, good friend, he and his brother, Choum Chomrith, drove me to the
Po Chin Tong airport. They are good singer.

Song Veacha (the best to Sin Sisamouth) is my very good friend. Very kind dude in person.
I did some remix for him in Cambodia a 1year and 1/2 ago.

Pouv Hun (pop singer) usually for his own production PKAY PREK. He sing good also but not as popular. I know him for 10 years.

I met up close also with Karaoke stars. Can you believe it, sit next to them, talk, joking, eating
playing around...fun, Prum Rotha, Keo Somnang, and some other famous dudes too.

I have a lot of their original pictures and video. usually backstage, behind the scene or during the take and outtake...They are so funny when you see them off camera, very good people.

True, SoSavoeun, can...
I agree with your uncle, So Savoeun is good in Saravan too.

Well, Cheng Sorya, has the voice of So Savoeun, am undoubtly she can sing very good saravan also.
Even though she doesn't sang that much, but her voice is close to So Savoeun.

I love listening to Kung Dina, Chaom Chorwin, Thuch Sunnich, and Hirm Siworn. Especially when they sing slow, monosannjhethana songs.

So far, i have not noticed that soriya's voice is similiar to so savouern. Next time when i listen to her again, i will try to compare.

But i know that there is singer, who is quite old now. her name is diep som-ang, her voice is very similiar to so savouen. Dont know what she is doing now, the last time i saw her on stage was in 99.

I apologize for all you that are tone deaf... Chenng Soryia cannot sing... Well, she is better then some people, such as them Cambodian girls in Cali who trys to sing, and those girls in the P-Nith Cd... Anyways, she is horrible compared to many of the Cambodian singers in Cambodia and a comparison to So Savoureun is politically Incorrect... And she is not good looking...
Thank you for your time... And I'm out like a fat kid in dodge ball...

 wrong!
Khmer Krom Is khmer living in Vietnam.
Its stupid how people don't know. Its not fair to Khmer Krom people.
The Viets don't like them cause they're Khmer and Khmer people accuse them of being Viets.
This is pretty sad.

It seems like khmerkrom has intruded this entertainment topic. Khmer krom is NOT mix viet. Saying khmerkrom is mixed khmer and viet is barbaric and is no different than saying Angkor Wat belong to Thais.

I'm a very huge fan of Khmer oldies! However, I will listen to new artists as long as they sound good to my ears.
